Milton Public Library Case Study

milton public libraryMilton, PA, Hiller Architectural Group

Using timeless Berwyn furniture, the Milton Public Library incorporates design elements from the historic Rose Hill Mansion to create a remarkable facility.

The renovation and expansion of the historic Rose Hill Mansion in Milton, PA resulted in an impressive three floor, 11,000 square foot facility as the site of the new Milton Public Library. Berwyn computer stations and tables are featured throughout the library, which now offers twice the number of computers and space for reading and collaboration activities.

Custom Brodart shelving and circulation desk were designed to incorporate tiles to match the ones which adorn the original fireplace of the building. Each tile represents a different area of the library –  tiles with animals are in the children’s room; tiles with famous ships are in the young adult area; tiles symbolizing Arts & Literature are in the adult reading area.
